Opening Ceremony March 18 Saturday at 10:45am

Each year Santa Fe Days in the Park brings the majestic sound of the drum and beautiful dancers to celebrate our opening Flag ceremony.  Color Guard, the  Renegade Nation, the only all-combat, Native American Veterans Color Guard in the State of Texas will be bring in the American flag, Texas State flag and Eagle Staff.  All Tribal Nation flags are also welcome to join this beautiful ceremony.

If you have a Veteran’s group that would like to participate, please let us know at santafedays@gmail.com so we can acknowledge your participation.

This year we welcome Str8 South drum from Dallas Texas who will honor us with songs from their Nations.  You will hear a Flag song, Veteran’s song and a Memorial song.  These are sacred songs and prayers which reflect our love for this country and it’s flag.  We ask visitors to stand-up and if physically able, to remove their hats out of respect.  We also ask that photographs and recording be restricted during these songs.  Thank you.
